So, is Losing Weight With Apple Cider Vinegar, real? When it comes to weight loss, there are tons of myths, scams, and just false information floating around the internet and among people.  I have heard it all!  You have more than likely heard a few such as “all fats are bad”, “all carbs are bad”, and my all time favorite “eating infrequently helps with weight loss”.

Vinegar is high in Acetic acid otherwise known as AcOH so if you choose to try this technique to lose weight you should always dillute the vinegar whether it’s apple cider vinegar or any other type.  Because acetic acid is corrosive and can eat away at your tooth enamel which isn’t good.

So, we recommend that you dillute it with water or on a salad so you avoid tooth problems later on down the road.

How Much Apple Cider Vinegar Should I Consume?

It originated from a study performed in 2009 and was a double-blind trial. During this trial they started with animal studies and moved into human trials.  During the trials they consumed 15-30ml of vinegar a day to be specific they mixed it with 500ml of beverage per day.

The study was ran for 12 weeks and those who actually drank the vinegar not a placebo effect. Had some success with weight loss, not some amazing they lost 100 lbs or anything crazy!  However, the study did find siginificant weight reduction with daily consumption of apple cider vinegar.

What is it supposed to do?  Cleanse your body of toxins and help assist in weight loss.  Does it?  Some people believe it helps assist in weight loss and clearer skin.  But there is little to no scientific proof that the cleanse helps.  However, as mentioned earlier frequent consumption of apple cider vinegar or any type for that matter is proven that it does help with obesity from a study done in 2009.

You may be asking if it works, why are you just hearing about apple cider vinegar for losing weight.  Because even though it has been proven to help the study didn’t show huge gains and most people aren’t going to drink it, due to it’s taste and can cause digestive problems such as upset stomach and nausea. 

Apple Cider Vinegar – Reduces Appetite?  Or Myth?

It was proven that it does reduce appetite.  Which is why we recommend dilluting it with at least 8oz of liquid preferably water (0 calories).  However, they believe the reduction of appetite was due to nausea.  So if you are going to try it, we also, recommend you doing so before each meal so 5-6.5ml each time.

In conclusion it can be beneficial for shedding a few pounds over the course of 12 weeks of daily intake.  I do recommend checking with your doctor before losing weight with apple cider vinegar.  Also, keep in mind it may make your stomach upset or feel nausea.
